The coating center successfully tested the new PVD coating in two different applications. It was about the coating of highly stressed milling cutters for tool steel machining. The second application was forming tools for stainless steel pressing. The newly developed FLEXCOMP coating showed significantly higher tool lifetime in both cases compared to competitively supplied coatings.
