The tool shop provides complete turn-key repairs of molds. This includes repairs of mold inserts, change of damaged cores and other parts, fitting together the upper and bottom inserts on spotting press by impression and carrying out compress tests using the tempering device at temperature up to 280°C.
The tool shop owns spotting press Erfurt Pyxtus of dimensions of workbench 2800 x 1800mm with the maximum working compression of 250tons. It also uses compressive devices to test the repairs on molds and MicroTig pulse welder to apply very small welds on finished mold inserts. Size of the weld pass depends on the material used and can be even 0,1mm. Because of this a microscope must be used during the welding.
